Reporting on Southwest People and Places

As an award-winning outdoor writer and environmental journalist, Annette McGivney’s stories have appeared in Backpacker, The Guardian, Arizona Highways, Sunset, Outside, The New York Times Magazine, The Los Angeles Times, and Runner's World. While on assignment for national publications she has hiked to the bottom of the Grand Canyon, followed beekeepers into pesticide-laden farm fields, and sifted through hundreds of court documents to produce exclusive reporting on high profile criminal cases.
